This policy explains what data the Perimo mobile application ("the App") collects, how it is used, and the rights you have over it.
Data controller
Perimo is operated by Halil Hilmi Karar (individual developer), who acts as the data controller for the personal data processed by the App. Contact: hello@perimo.app.
1. Data we collect
- Account information: your email address and name, provided when you register or sign in with Apple or Google. You can also use the App anonymously, without creating an account.
- Symptom logs: the symptoms, ratings and notes you record in the App. These are stored encrypted on our servers.
- Device information: a device identifier and push notification token, used only to deliver notifications you have opted into.
- Subscription status: whether your premium subscription is active. Payment details never reach us — purchases are processed by the App Store.
2. How we use your data
- To sync your symptom history across your devices and present it back to you.
- To generate personal insights and doctor-ready PDF reports when you request them.
- To send reminder notifications, if you have enabled them.
- To keep the service secure and functioning correctly.
We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it to third parties.
3. Legal basis and your consent
Health-related data (your symptom, cycle and medication logs) is "special category" data under the GDPR (Article 9) and Turkish KVKK. We process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you start using the tracking features. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account in the App (Settings → Delete account), which permanently removes your data from our servers.
4. AI-powered insights (optional)
When you use the insights feature, a summary of your symptom records is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate your insight. This data is sent without your name, email address, or any account identifiers, and is used solely to produce the insight you requested. Under our agreement with OpenAI, data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
AI processing is entirely optional: you can turn it off at any time in the App (Settings → AI insights). When disabled, no data is ever sent to OpenAI; all other features continue to work.
5. Third-party services
- Sign in with Apple / Google: authentication.
- Firebase (Google): push notification delivery.
- RevenueCat: subscription status management.
- OpenAI: AI insight generation (only when you use the feature).
6. Data retention and security
Symptom data is stored with application-level encryption in our database, and all traffic between the App and our servers uses HTTPS. Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
7. Your rights
- Export: download a complete copy of your data from within the App (Settings → Export my data).
- Deletion: permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the App (Settings → Delete account).
- Access and correction: update your information in the App, or contact us with any request.

8. Children's privacy
Perimo is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Perimo is not a medical device. Insights and tips are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
10. Changes to this policy
We will announce material changes to this policy on this page and, where appropriate, in the App.
